Many people think that the BLO deletes names — this is a misconception.
ЁЯСЙ The real decision is taken by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), under the authority of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
ЁЯУМ What does a BLO do?
✔️ Conducts house-to-house verification
✔️ Submits a report (keep / delete recommendation)
❗ But the FINAL decision is always made by the ERO
⚠️ Reasons for deletion of name:
• Document mismatch
• Not available during verification
• Duplicate entry
• Change of address
• Objection (Form 7)

✔️ Contact the ERO office
✔️ Carry all original documents
✔️ If needed, fill a fresh Form 6
